How to Activate Supplier Notifications

Manually forwarding every approved Purchase Order to a supplier adds an extra step to your purchasing process. With Digital Purchase Order (DPO), you can automate this process. Once Automatic Email Notifications are enabled, DPO can send finally approved Purchase Orders directly to your suppliers.
Enable automatic supplier notifications
To activate the feature, open Settings and navigate to Suppliers.
Here, you can enable Automatic Email Notifications for all newly created suppliers.
If you only want to use automatic notifications for selected suppliers, simply open the corresponding supplier profile and activate the notification checkbox there.
Before enabling the feature, make sure that a valid email address has been saved in the supplier profile.
Receive a copy of supplier notifications
If you would like to receive a copy whenever DPO sends a Purchase Order to a supplier, open PDF Settings. In the Automatic Email Notification for Suppliers section, enter your email address as a CC or BCC recipient. DPO will then send you a copy of each supplier notification.
Include Purchase Order attachments
If you use the DPO Attachments feature, Purchase Order attachments are not sent to suppliers by default. To include attachments in supplier notification emails, return to the Suppliers settings and enable the corresponding option. When creating a Purchase Order, upload your attachments as usual.
Once an attachment has been uploaded successfully, a mail icon appears next to the file. Activate this icon for each attachment you want to include in the email automatically sent to the supplier after final approval. This allows you to control exactly which attachments are shared with your supplier.
Save time with automated supplier notifications
Automatic Supplier Notifications remove the need to manually forward finally approved Purchase Orders to vendors. Once configured, DPO automatically sends the Purchase Order to the supplier while still giving you control over recipients, copies and attachments.
